ive got a 92 f150 2wd and just recently i got my money together and decided it was time for new brakesthe drums are in real good shape... the rotors need to be turned,but i cant do that on my own...(im having the rotors turned when i get my new tires and rims put on at the shop)i put new pads in the front because they were needed bad..but when i pulled the drums to check the back brakes the shoes on both sides still had a lot of life left to them...i even planned to replace the hardware but all of that was still in good condition too...

MY PROBLEM IS>
since that day about 2 weeks ago when i had the drums off my starwheel and the metal bracket that keeps the starwheel from turning backwards have mysteriously "popped" out of place on me twice and i dont like it ..everything is in the right place(as far as the hold down springs,return springs....etc...)the wheel cylinders are bolted down tight ,i dont know what is going wrong...now just for the heck of it i pumped the brake with the drum off and my bro in law watching everything work....the only thing he said went out of place was the top of the shoes came out toward him away from the drum for whatever reason.....when that happened i just for the heck of it put on new hold down springs with the new pins and end clips...but after theyu were installed the brake system did the same thing

if i cant finger this out soon im going to get a new adjuster because one end of mine seems to be open wider than it should and possibly a new lever to go over the adjuster in the case that one of those parts are the culprit...


somebody/anybody......any sugggestions please help...
