I found a set of round gauges that supposedly fit 67-69 F100's on a "famous" internet auction site and I have a question. What did these originally come on and what year? I know I've never seen them in a F100 myself. They must be hard to find cause the guy wants over two hundred bucks for it.
I wrote the seller asking for a part number but I haven't heard anything back yet and I'm not very sure I will.
They came from big Fords of that era. I think F600's and up, but I'm not 100% sure of the size. A lot of people retro fit them to their F100/250's, but that seems a little high priced for an instrument panel that you'll have to adapt to your truck.
Those are cool! I had heard of people doing that conversion, but never actually seen the gauges or a completed conversion. Does anyone know if they can be used in the '71s without too much hacking? I'd also like to see if anyone has pics of a conversion.
Look at my gallery. These just go right in, very little adapting. If the gauges are good, you won't have any converting to do, except with the tach. The factory one is mechanical and needs a mechanical drive distributor and cable. But the hole size is common to other tachs. I don't think that's too much too pay for a good one.
