Im looking to buy a Banks Sidewinder Turbo system for a '93 7.3L diesel. I have been looking around on the internet for about a week, but i cant find the prices for these sytems anywhere. I e-mailed Banks, but still no response about prices. Any one who has purchased this kind of system please e-mail me about costs, and whether it is worth it.. Thanks
I checked on them a little while back, and it was somewhere in the neighborhood of $2K for the system. Nice thing is that it comes with the exhaust, filter setup, and transcommand included. They will send the info to you, it just takes a little while. The power figures were pretty impressive as I remember, and I tried really hard to justify getting one. I just don't tow enough to warrant the cost.
I live in Canada and have been quoted a price of $3500 for the kit.. exhaust included..
if yiou go to www.bankspower.com and fill out the request form they will send yoiu some info for your engine.. I did and was impresdsed with the results if I install their turbo unit..
hope this helps
The Banks Powerpack kit is the best modification you can put on a powerstroke.. It went with the engine modifications on my truck and has gone 150K so far... with no problem.
