Where to find the grill shell. It's for my 79 it's the part that goes around the front lights and grill. I havin be able to fine this checked jc whiney nothing for 79.
If none of the sponsors have the grill shell I know JC Whitney has them but I believe they both sell an aftermarket shell which is supposedly not that great of quality, though you'd never know it looking at the $200+ tag. Also, search ebay regularly. One of these went a few days ago for $120. Sometimes you can get NOS grill shells there . . . still not cheap but they are original. I still need to buy one myself.
yeah jc isn't showing them right now. Havin seen any on ebay been watching. This is the only thing I need got a new grill and headlight holder an a bumper so everything looks good other than the shell.
That one site sponsor (Brontasaurus Yard) disappointed me last week when they sent me black wiper blades when their site shows silver blades (which is what I ordered)...their excuse was that they didn't have any silver ones. Gee thanks. Might want to point that out, eh? It's nice to support sponsors (I try to) but it's not right when they blatantly misrepresent their merchandise.

***truck.com or 1-800-***-truck, has ALL the parts for the grille/front. $169.95 for the shell and $34.95-59.95 for the insert. The dots are An L, and an M, and a C. BTW, on page 40 of the bronco graveyard catalog is the shell. States oem quality, $300 pn 24000.

I bought one of the aftermarket ones. It fit ok, just did,t have that shiny lustre that the factory ones had when new. So I went to my Ford dealer and ordered a brand new factory one. That was just last year.
Hrmm. Either I made a mistake while editing or my previous post was modified after the fact. I did mention another supplier for this part. Oh well, now my first post makes very little sense.
Shipping is BAD on some of this stuff... $169 for the part and another 100.00 for shipping. If you order a bumper or fender too, look for another 100.00 each part... I bought used for now... when I get the truck ready for paint, then I will take the hit and buy new...
As daddzwaterboy pointed out be careful about shipping. I noticed this too while flipping through a catalog the other day. Ordering a headliner for say $100-$150 isn't the correct cost...there's another $100 for truck freight. Seems kinda insane. Especially if they charge you $100 per large item.
Also, it might be best to call and place an order rather than blindly order online. As my recent experience taught me it's sometimes better to talk to someone about what you're ordering so you can be 1000% sure that you are buying what you think you are buying. A lot of these places seem to be kinda sketchy on the whole concept of ecommerce.
I also went to a junk salvage yard to look for a front fender, got to talking to the man at the desk, he says he can get the same aftermarket parts at the same price as the catalogs with no shipping charges and it takes less than 3 days to get them to his door!!!
Maybe try that??? I ended up buying a used fender and grill from him used...
