I saw a Ford accessories book with a module listed as follows:
"Daytime Running Lamp with Auto Headlamp Module."
I am interested in installing this module on my 2004 S/D. Does anyone know if this involves simply plugging in a relay, or is there other changes that have to be made? Where does the module plug in? Is there additional parts or a wiring harness that have to be added?
The listing for the module states "Dealer installation recommended", however, I don't know what skill levels that the accessory book is aimed at.
tsc... thanks for the info. Problem is the dash has changed for the 2004 S/D, so no access panel. (darn) But, it did give me some useful information and answered part of my question.

I just ordered this but haven't yet put it on but it does look as if you will have to cut wires under the dash in order to get them to work properly but for the most part they sent me a list of the makes it will fit on and the wiring colors and locations so I would say a couple of hours at the very most to install it, depending on if they are right about the wiring.
NO wires have to be cut anywhere. Will have to remove a coulpe wiring harness end plugs. One behind the driver side headlamp & one next to driver side relay box under the hood.Phil

The kit I had ordered for mine is F8AZ-13B218-AA and is just what he had described, the parts that you guys are referring to is just the factory daytime running lights.
