Sourcing a RABS I problem - need help
Symptom: Emergency brake (red) & ABS (amber) warning lights both illuminate.
Brake fluid level is Ok, foot brake normal (not spongy). I can depress the emergency brake switch with my finger but both warning lights remain illuminated. Removed and cleaned the ABS speed sensor in the rear axle -wan't much to it but no leaks, etc.
ABS code is 4 -> Haynes indicates a possible problems in couple of the harness circuits and gives the ohm specs to check; or else its the RABS valve (I think also known as HVC = hydraulic control valve).
Other threads have suggested to check out the emergency brake warning light problem out FIRST, then move on to the ABS subsystem. Also said this red warning light is ONLY connected to the ebrake pedal and the master cylinder.
I didn't want to throw parts at it (RABS valve) yet and need "how to" help finding the circuit part to check ohms. Any suggestions appreciated.
