I have a aluminum intake and D0VE heads. A few weeks after I rebuilt the engine I noticed green coolant on the tops of the corner intake studs. The leaks have got steadily worse, especially in the front corners. The drivers side front has starting leaking out another bolt hole - badly.
I used new Mr Gasket gaskets with a thin coat of RTV around the coolant ports. The Mr Gasket tech line was no help, they said "it should not have leaked".
What can I do differently to prevent this when I reinstal the intake.
Dont use the gaskets on the front and rear of the manifold, use a 1/4" bead of good silicone. The manifolds tend to not seat all the way there sometimes between the heads and they dont get pressed down good enough on the block.
