Engine Won't Start
Thanks in advance.
The oil leak could be valve cover gasket, intake to block gasket or oil sending unit behind intake (a bad one will sometimes leak). Clean the area good, run it for a while (when you get it running) and look it over for the leak.

I think part of the problem is that the previous owner left the truck sit for the past four years; only went about 18km!! Anyway...
I bought it with the 351W so it was all connected already. Yes it did start and run. I put about 400km on it already. So the firing order is correct as it was running when I bought it and had it in for a Safety cert. The mechanic who did the work fixed the distributor but... When it stopped running/woldn't start, I would let it cool for about 30min and it would start again. But now it won't go at all. The gas is coming into the carb when pressing the throttle.
Thanks for the info on the oil leak. Once it's running again, I'll check the gaskets out.
BTW, all it needed to get onto the road was a licence plate light and a tie rod. The truck looks darn near factory as the previous owner of 20 years babied it beyond belief (even thought it sat for so long.)David

I know the mechanic who worked on it said he changed both of those too but I think I am going to check them like you said 'cause it can't hurt and it is easy to have done.
I'll let you know what I find out and thank you very much for your help Marty.
And if anyone else has any ideas too, please let me know and I thank everyone in advance for all of your help!! It is truly appreciatedDavid

It sounds like an intermittent ignition failure, but the kid says its got spark. It's got fuel...... It's got spark......? It's got to be timing!
Got any back fire?
1. Yes, Timing chain is gone. Turn the crank over to TDC #1 cylinder. Now pull off the distributor cap. Does the rotor arm line up with the #1 or #6 spark plug wire? If not,... chances are the timing chain has skipped.
2. No, Check for power at the coil. if you have power then, replace the igniton module. If you have no spark after that... replace the coil,... then the distributor pickup stator.
Fix it,
KingFisher
Congrats on the Windsor, they're not that easy to find anymore.
