Has anybody else noticed that the Voltage guage on their superduty doesn't seem to be live. Mine never moves even when cold and lights are on. Previous PSD would pull voltage down while glow plugs were lit.
Hmmm.......One would think it should do something.
My 99.5 PSD did. I just ran out to look at mine, but I don't have one.
It was replaced with a Trans Temp guage in 2002. I dunno. HELP...!?!?!
Beats me! Does it start OK? If so I'd assume the glow plugs are working. Put a digital volt meter across the battery and have somebody turn on the key while you watch the meter.

To my knowledge, the voltage AND oil pressure gauges on the Super Dutys are just fancy idiot lights. Saved Ford some money, I guess.
