Looking for 100 HP chip for PSD
I have a 97 PDS 4x4 LWB Extra Cab Super duty and I want the best chip for the money. I understand I should get a downpipe from the turbo also. Has anyone done this yet and what were your results. I think 100 to 150 is all I need to keep up with the 2002 models. Please adv. me!!!

100 to 150 hp from a chip is alot. Most are 55 and 75. Everybody strongly recommends that if you go with a 75 hp. chip that you get a pyrometer to keep an eye on your E.G.T. Banks's powerpack claims 120 hp. and comes with an engine calibration module, air filter, intercooler, turbine outlet pipe, exhaust pipe, turbine housing,transcommand, pyrometer, and all the little nuts bolts and hoses. This is a very complete system to get 120 hp and still retain the awesome reliability of the Powerstroke. I think that going with JUST a chip to get 150 hp. you will be comprimising the reliability of the Powerstroke.

With the Diablo "Extreme" chip, in combination with the Power Pedal, big sucker intake and 4" exhaust, you'll get 100HP (dyno'd at 97HP by Hotrod). Just don't expect to tow anything heavy.

100-150 hp just from a chip is too much to ask for on that year
you must do additional mods such as a bigger exhaust, intercooler, air filter. then you may be able to get that. you also need to have a pyro.
with the 100+ you wont be able to tow any thing heavy with it because the egts will get to high
I have a 00 with a free flow exhaust, the waste gate disconected, with guages etc
I have a superchip flip chip. the settigs are 80 and 120
In the 80 mode went from 196 hp stock to 178 hp just on the chip.
we tried to dyno the 120 side but the ses light came on from overboost so I need to fix this and try again
