wont shift into gear
i have a 83 ford f150 and it will start but then when i go to put it into gear it will go 2 all of the gears but the truck wont move and i can go 2 all of the gears and it will not move at all

is the drive shaft turning? can you push the truck? is the shift linkage hooked up to the tranny? has it been giving any trouble? what happened the last time you drove it?

well it is my mudding truck and last time i drove it i went mudding and it started 2 act up and wouldnt shift into gear so i parked it and then shut it off and then i went 2 go start it and it started just fine but then i hit the brake and shifted it into gear and it wouldnt move and no the drive shaft is not moving. and u can push it even though it says it is in park.

sounds like the shift linkage has come loose, mabey on the inside of the tranny, but i doubt it. check the linkage and see what happens.
could have broken the shift shaft that goes thru the tranny case also. i have seen 2 break right inside the case.
