Sell door hindge mirror and buy one that fits on door edge.
First off, can you afford to scratch the door a little or is the truck already finished? If you can deal with a scratch or two do what I did. Drill a little ways up into the bottom of the pin. After that you take a punch and use your drilled spot as a guide. The pin should come out after some use with the hammer. If the truck is already finished then you will probably have to drill out the pin from the top. Takes alot of time. wd40 and maybe some good drill bits along the way. Good luck
Thanks. I didn't think it would be easy. I wanted to match mirror on drivers side.
I got it down to 15 min on my second pin, use a punch and a I used a centering drill to start at center and drill with 3/16 and then move to the closed drill that will not enlarge the hole. drill past the the first porting of the hindge about 3/8 then take a drift punch and it will drive right out the knurls on the top will just crush in. I didn't even bother with solvent. On the door lock screw passenger side I use solvent and testing for over a weak. Good luck. I was not done after getting the pin out the new mirror did't not fit without much grinding and adjustin.. Ed ke6bnl
