Balancing my rotating assemblies..

I'm not very experienced with building my own engine. I was thinking about buying a whole Eagle Competition rotating assembly for my 5.0. This assembly isn't balanced though. Can I slap on any harmonic damper for 5.0 engines? In Jeg's I'm looking at a product called a Super Damper which is designed exclusively for high rpm performance engines. Will that be more than enough to balance my new engine? I'll appreciate any advice and info from you more experienced engine guys.

Nope. You will need to take the damper/harmonic balancer you purchase and your flexplate or flywheel depending on which tranny you have, along with the rotating assembly kit, crank, rods and pistons to a machinist/race shop and have it all balanced. So you might wanna check around and get a rough estimate on what they have charged in the past to balance eagle rotating assemblies and add that to your budget, some companies offer balancing, most people like to use their balancer and flexplate/flywheel when its done though. Good luck
