Speedometer bouncing
Hey Guys,
First off, I've got a 90 F-350 7.3 IDI non turbo, E40D, 4x4 , 35 x 12.50 BFG's
. My speedometer has started bouncing and is even more off than it used to be. The transmission is not shifting right either. I think it is getting bad readings from the vehicle speed sensor. I replaced the vehicle speed sensor in the transfer case and the speed sensor drive gear. That helped the transmission shifting and the speedometer bounce for a little while. Now it is getting worse again. I'm thinking the transfer case may be chewing on the new gear. The old one had a little wear, but wasn't in bad shape.
Anyone have any ideas?

Speedometer bouncing
I had the same problem on my F-150 Strait 6 I just replaced the instrument cluster. You could also have your's rebuilt at a speedo shop. That fixed mine I also have the e4od transmission but mine is gas.
