I have a chance to purchase a 72 all complete and cherry with a 351W for 10k. I will spend that much and more to get my 66 to that point. Should I purchase it and sell the 66 with all the parts?
I think alot depends on how you feel about projects. If you dread working on your Bronco all the time and do not get any satisfaction from seeing your work being completed then go ahead and spend the 10K.
On the other hand if it gives you a lot of satisfaction to be able to tell others you personally did the improvements, like to anticipate what the finished product will look like or feel to drive on the road, like to have your Bronco personalized by you,...then I'd do it myself even if it cost me a little more.
Right now I know every inch of the truck by taking off most of the parts. I just wish I knew how to do the body work instead of paying someone to do it. Something I should have thought about before I bought it.
If I buy this truck, I know where to look for rust!
Well I got the specs today, 1972 sport, 351w (8K), limited slip rear, np 4 sp tranny, d20, d44 front with drums, leather interior, hard top, winch, and cherry body with 4yr old paint job.........Waiting to test drive on Friday.
