Does anyone know what the name and part description is for the plastic molding/trim that is attatched to the body, just over the wheels? It is on all the 2004 Rangers. It looks like a little charcoal/black fender and is about 4 inches wide. I think I read somewhere they are called "wheel lips." I want to get them put on my 99 Ranger because I think they make the truck tougher looking and protect the paint on the extended body just over the wheels.
I hope I can find out what they are and have them installed on my 99 XLT Sport with Stepside.
Thanks
Mike
They can be called a bunch of things. "Fender flares" comes to mind. So does "wheel opening mouldings."
But seeing as how you got a flare-side, I don't think there were any fender flares made for the flare side box from Ford. There may be some in the aftermarket.
