need power!

Hey everyone,
I am planing on modifying my 03 f250 psd super cab 4x4, I am puting on a 4 inch exhaust that goes to dual 5inch stack through the bed. what type of down pipe should i use? I do tow a 21 foot trailer almost every day around town driving. Also want to add chip/tuner, intake, possibly Nitrous and or propaine injection. I am hoping to find the best of each, price is not a factor as i will do a little at a time. I would like to be able to smoke all the tires in 4 wheel and be able to have some fun with sports cars lol. thanks for any help

Well, as I'm sure everyone on here will tell you, get gauges first so you can monitor what your truck is doing. You don't want to spend all that money on mods and then blow the engine or tranny. Gauges would be the biggest thing, and then what you have listed sounds good. Regarding the downpipe, if you plan on putting on a lot of HP, go with the 4". There is a great thread about going from a 4" to a 3.5" downpipe that Mudinford has explained well how to determine which pipe to use.
I'm sure more knowledgable posters will give their suggestions.

Don't forget to make some upgrades to your transmission to handle all that power.

farmb0y, this is one case where a 5" exhaust could show some benefits. Since he's adding propane, which will add about 100 rear wheel HP, he could be over 450 HP with all those mods.

Yea, good point. I'm always hearing about 4" exhaust I never really thought about going any bigger. But for that kind of horsepower you would need a way to get rid of the exhaust and keep your EGT's down, and the 5" should do it. Or go dual stacks out of the box behind that cab, that always looks cool.
