Ammeter question from a Tech article
In Jim Barbera's tech article on this board:

He states the following--
"These are the voltages you should see under the following conditions.
Headlights on, engine off -.032
Ignition Key on, engine off -.027 (with electric fuel pump running)
Ignition key ACC -.002
Engine on +.2
Engine on after a few minutes +.1 "
Then he goes onto say in the very next sentence:
"If you see those voltages, the gauge is bad..."
Which is it, I don't get it. Should you or should you NOT see those voltages under the stated conditions on a working gauge?
