66 brake question
The prop valve is the most difficult thing to obtain in the whole front disk swap. They are like $200 new from ford. Being ugly is NOT a reason to discard it. They are all ugly, as they lived in a nastly place. Most still work fine. If you really must have a new one, try www.mpbrakes.com Perhaps parts places can get one too, but prices will be steep, I warn you.
Have you got the flexible brake lines done? Did you move the mounts? If not, the better solution are lines from a 1983-87 Dodge Charger. They have a metal tube up from the banjo block and a little longer hose. They have a metal bracket around the hose that can be removed. Anyhow, using them gets the hose enough extra length and clearance so that it will not get linched in the coil spring if you hit a bump while turning.
Finally, I have a diagram of the prop valve and where to attach everything, but I cannot attach here. email me if you want me to send it to you. It should have 2 lines in (from the top) and two coming out at angles on one end (these are to the front) and only ONE coming out of the other side. That goes to the line to the back. Not four coming out, only 3. If you have 4 coming out, then it was not from a 78' F150. Five fittings total, plus the electric switch between the two line in openings.
