Buying a used PSD, 1995 (Please, need serious advice)
I just spent 500 smackers on my truck and cannot justify it anymore. For what I have spent on my truck, I could be 3-4 years into a new truck payment. At the moment I am looking at buying a used 7.3L PSD with a manual tranny. I love the aspect of a relatively high fuel mileage to power ratio and the "everlasting" engine itself. Plus they sound cool The truck I'm looking at is described as "pampered" and "exceptionally clean in and out". And from pictures it most cetaintly is. The truck has 221396 miles, but from some reasearch here, thats nothing to be concerned with if it was properly taken care of. I'm waiting now for proof of what it was he did for maintenance. Also, the glow plugs were replaced at 100,000 miles. Is there anything I should look for specifically when I look at the vehicle? I'm a diesel boob, but learn quick. My main concern is though, how well does the electronic end of the engine system hold up? My lemon of a truck has left a bad taste in my mouth when it comes to EFI. When ever a gremlin showed up, and I had no choice but to take it in, it was like a good swift kick in the nuts. Are there any components that routinley crap out or I should look out for if I purchase said truck? Also, any tips or good reading would be most appreciated

I would recommend you check out Steve Baz's website. He has a section on buying a used Power Stroke. Good luck!
