Ok I need some help I have a 2003 f150 4x4 with the towing package. I measured the hitch square thing bolted to frame and the center on that square is 19” off the ground.
I have a jet ski and the bottom of the trailer hook up in 17.5” off the ground. I’m guessing that the ball will stick out the bottom by about 1/2”. How are receivers (the thing the ball is bolted to) measured? I need to know how much of a drop I need.
Put your trailer on the truck now and see how much it drops. Measure how far you need to move until it sits level. I imagine that the trailer won't drop the truck that much so you probably only need about a 1" drop.
You need A 2" drop. Your truck should not drop in the rear at all, with the trailer hooked up. The drop is measured from the top of the tube. A 2" drop turned over gives you A 0" lift.
