[updated:LAST EDITED ON 05-May-02 AT 03:53 PM (EST)]I think it's great having a classified section for people to buy and sell Ford truck items. I have one problem with it though. People don't list their items under the correct categories. Take the 61-79 section for example. It's split up into these categories: Vehicles (142) Interior (51)
Exterior (81) Drive Train/Engine (84)
Body (110) All Categories in All Sections
If you look under the Vehicles section, you'll see people trying to sell parts. Under the parts section, there's people trying to sell complete trucks. In the interior category, there is people selling core supports, grilles, and other exterior body parts. These are just examples of what's found in the recent classifieds. I understand that a person trying to sell something would like to get the most exposure possible. I feel it makes the classifieds less effective though for the other people who aren't too lazy to list their items in the correct category. I don't know about anybody else, but I don't check out the classifieds on this site as much as I used to. It's being ruined by the people who list their items in every category or the wrong category, just to get more exposure. They're taking advantage of an excellant free service. Does anybody else agree with me?
I know what you mean i was looking in the interior section and there are several trucks in it for sale:-X23 and i have seen one of the trucks in there also in several other sections
Ken, I'm sorry if you thought I was complaining about your setup, because I'm not. I feel it's set up great. I was just trying to make the point that some people abuse the classifieds. You'll see the same item or items listed over and over whether they fit the sub-category or not. I just think that this hinders the effectiveness of a system that you obviously spent a lot of time and effort to create. If people would use the classifieds as they were designed, then it would be quicker and easier for others to find what they are looking for. This in turn would produce more sales for the people who have items listed. It isn't a problem with the classifieds. It's the people who place their ads in the wrong place. It's kind of like posting a message in the wrong area.
