Thumbs down Top End

Hi everyone. Been reading for a while and have got some good info, but this is my first post. I was in a little bit of a hurry on Saturday and 'opened' up my '04 SCAB 4X4 XLT with the 5.4 and 3.55's. I still have the stock wheels and tires and 3,000 miles on the truck. The truck would not go over 104 mph. Has anyone else experienced this. Thanks for any replies.

The computer has a speed limiter. Probably need an aftermarket chip to disable it. But you could void your warranty with a chip.

Thats the limiter programed into the computer, I'ts supposed to kick in somewhere around 95-99mph. You have to get some sort of tuning to remove it. Got to love Ford for protecting us from ourselves.
