Go back to the vehicle you got the dist from, or go to the junkyard to any mid to late 70's or very early 80's truck or car, and get the duraspark II ignition module, and the wiring harness that goes with it. The box will have two plugs. One will plug right into your newer dist. The other will have a red and white wire shown in the diagram. Cut the red and white wire up in the harness to make it convenient to splice to, and then wire it up like the diagram above.
