I just had a tree fall on my 87 lincoln Mark VII. The car was crushed, but the car still runs and moves. The car was "cherry", but on the bright side I've got a strong running donor vehicle. Can any one tell me what I would need to put the 5.0 into my 84 Bronco II? What tranny, mounts, T-case etc....
Hooker makes the mounts you'll need. Hedman makes the headers you'll need. If your MiniBronc has a manual tranny, your in luck, as T5s are a dime a dozen. Thats the 5 speed manual tranny you'll need. The easiest tranny to swap in is a C4, its short, light, and stout. Its not an OD tranny, and a lot of them came with a transfer case (don't look for a 302 4x4 truck, since ford didn't make one) behind the 300 I6.
You can also use a heavier duty truck manual tranny, they have granny low gears and are more likely to be setup with a transfer case. You'll still need custom length driveshafts, and a rear end upgrade to an 8.8".

Umm, there's lots of factory 302 4x4 trucks out there, and, that's what you'd want to find if you were looking for a C4, the 300 exclusively got the C6 because of it's popularity as a fleet/work truck engine.
Okay, after spending a lot of time reading in the B2 forum, I have found a lot of info on this one. Also, I have a friend that has done it a few times. To swap the engine from your Lincoln into the Bronco II you'll need to get the engine (duh), the engine wiring harness complete with computer. IMO junk the rest of the car unless you like the seats better or something like that. Everything else you will need you will have to purchase. You will need motor mounts, a radiator that will fit inside your core support, headers (not needed so to speak, but definitely a good idea), C-4 transmission (again, my personal opinion), and you'll have to have drive lines made as the B2 had those wonderful little CV style shafts. To make your life easier, put a 2" body lift on it for added exhaust clearance, and tranny clearance. Once you get under the B2 around the tranny you'll understand.
The parts are available almost anywhere if you simply get online and do a search. There are places that sell parts specifically for the Broncos and even baby broncos. I have one in my garage (although it hasn't run since October). Good luck with your swap. You already have the expensive stuff, go for the swap!!!
Oh, one more thing, if you get a C4 transmission, and use a C5 tailhousing, you can keep your same transfer case. If you find a C4 out of a larger truck or bronco, grab the transfer case as well. Around the Pacific Northwest, you can find these in boneyards for a couple hundred dollars if you look hard.
Thanks for all the info guys, I've been doing some research also & decided to keep the AOD tranny after I find the correct output shaft and tranny/t-case adapter out of a full size, along with the NP208 sitting in my garage. I'll make my own motor mounts, (If anyone has exact dimensions on these plates it would make things easier), The drive shafts will be cut and or extended by J & R driveline in Jenison.
Happy Trails!
