Digital is a different kind of beast to A or B. It should be much more efficient than class A or AB amps. T probably means it's based on a chipset from Tripath. http://www.tripath.com
a class a-ab amp sends cleaner power to the woofer or speakers, filtering out most of the raw power, giving you a better, crisper, sound but it takes more power to run it opposed to a class d amp, witch will use more of the raw power sent to it from the batteri, giving you the illusion of more base, when in fact it is just more distortion, digital amps use the same systems as a class d amp, but along with the distortion you'll get more base out of it,
think of a class a amp this way, your truck runs on fuel, now the fuel filter lowers the pressure of the gass going to the engine, but it also makes it last longer and run cleaner
but a class d amp is like running your truck with out a filter yea your going to get more pressure in the lines and get more gas to the engine, but if you arn't careful **** can get in to your system and blow your enging,
Class T are D class amps -w- cleaner sound filter's. They're trying to make a D sound almost as good as an AB for Sound Q fanatics. It works pretty good too. Alpine is pushing T's heavily now.
