i'm hoping to just see it drop below two dollars again, right now it costs me about 55 dollars to fill up my tank at 2.35. this is ridiculous, and they are only saying it is going up

some filthbag reporter was saying the major hike in prices is due to our lack of refineries here in the U.S. That is the biggest bag of bs I have heard in a while.

refineries are obviously not the problem.there is some truth to supply and demand, some states like here in calif. have overly strict emmision regs that preclude other states fromhelping us much, but when you look at the oil company quarterlies and see the huge profits they have(not necessarily a bad thing if you own stocks) it is easy to see there is a lot more reasons then "not enough refineries" causing price hikes.

I think more citizens need to purchase firearms, that would lower gasoline prices. Why, I don't know, but an armed society is a polite society.

Thumbs up

thank god for the v-6 f-150's I bought the smaller engine in mine to prevent some speeding tickets, it didn't work, but it does only cost about 40-50 bucks in gas to fill it. That will last me a week 300 mi. or so.

hey john you know that assuming you have a 25 gal tank and based on your statement that you get about 300mi/tank you are gettin 12MPG which is worse than the 4.6L V-8 i realized that the week after i bought mine...and according to motor trend the Triton 5.4L 8 Cylinder 300 hp Gas Engine
4 Speed Elect. Controlled Automatic OD (44B) Transmission 15 / 19 MPG

Exclamation Gas Update

It is time for a gas update!! No one has posted on this thread since June 1st..
In my small town in north central Indiana gas prices have dropped in the past two weeks by almost 20 cents!! I bought gas for a 1.92/gal on Monday and it is still decreasing-today was a 1.89/gal!! Hopefully it keeps getting lower.

Another thought--Which day of the week do you guys seem to get the best gas prices?? I would figure the weekend would be the worst since the most travel occurs then...
