ive heard that same thing abt its bad to let ur tank run below abt 1/4. so i try to fill up basically whenever i got the money, i dont run it to E anymore anyways, cuz since ive had my lisence, ive already run it dry twice. and had to siphon gas outta the tractor just to get it to town quite a few times.

So you get gas after every 5 gallons, so about every 75 miles or so?

Around here, I've been noticing that gas is cheap on a certain day of the week. (I'm not going to say which day in case some gas station owner gets smart)
I've been babying my truck lately, since it's costing me about $65 to fill up. I just went 2 weeks on my last tank, a week and a half on the tank before, another week and a half, a 2 weeker, etc. Not saying that I'm driving my truck differently, just a different frequency. I'm getting the same 15 - 18 mpg as when I first got my truck.
Back when I first got my truck, it was costing about $35, $40 was bearable, $50 was getting out of hand. Now, over $60, I've got to watch it. And that $60 is on a "cheap gas day."
But, if I need gas (ie: on empty and not a cheap gas day) I'll suck it up and fill up. No point in putting in a few bucks to tide me over to cheap gas day. That's a waste of my time going in for gas twice.
