New Expy

Ok tell me if this is a good deal??

I am looking at a 2004 Expediton Eddie Bauer.
It Has;
Heated/Cooled seats,
Power Fold 3rd Row,
Sun Roof,
Side Airbags,
Rear Capitain Chairs,
5.4L V8,
and The Rear DVD. It list's for $44,800, but I am getting a $10,000 Rebate so in all I will be paying about $35,000 for it. Do it sound like a good deal ??

Ask dealer for invoice price--then subtract all available rebates--see where that compares with $10,000 off MSRP. You should never have to pay more than invoice less ALL rebates. Have the dealer run a VINCENT report to list all rebates for that vehicle. Keep any trade-in out of the deal to make sure what you are getting off MSRP.
If invoice less rebates is more than the $10,000 off MSRP, then it is probably an OK deal.

Well, I meant to say: If invoice less rebates is LESS than $10,000 off MSRP, then it is probably a good deeeeaaal.

at a price like that you may seriously consider asking the dealer to swap the "trashy" Continental tires that the EB Expi will be equipped with. to convince the dealer....take the service manager for a ride on a freeway and show him the vibration/shimmy in the steering between 70 and 80mph. you may want to point out the fact that many people are having the same issues with new 04 Expeditions. they will make a valiant attempt to balance and aliogn the Continental tires however there is no amount of MAGIC that will balance those tires! ifyou waitto long to get the dealerships attention on this issue, you may end up looking like this cartoon>>>>>>>

They're selling '04 EB's with leather, power 3rd row seat, etc. for $29K over here. So my thought is, is the rest of the stuff you mention worth $6K more?

Go to edmunds.com and "build" your truck.

Ok now I have some Important Questions:

1) Do any of you that own a 2003 or 2004 Expeditin have a cladder coming from the outside of the pass. door?

2)When you fold down the back seats in you're 03' Or 04' do you have a big space between the third and second row?

3) When you turn the wheel of the Years in question is it fairly easy to turn when at a stop (like previous years 99-02 ) or does it require some extra effort?

4) Do ANY of the front seats of the years in question have Eddie Bauer engraved in the front seats?

These questions are all for a very inportant cause, A STUPID dealer, in my opinion, is ripping people off, and they almost got me! He tried to tell me an Expedition does not come with heated seats PERIOD!

Please respond Soon !! Thank you all very much !!!!!!!!!!

I have an 03 Expy4X4 XLT

1.) Door Cladder will happen on Drivers side also. mainly at high speeds in warm weather. TSB ford knows about will fix no questions asked. They need to order seals and install.

2.) Yes there is a space between the rows. Has not been a problem came in handy a couple of times. Stuffed a pillow in the crack and slept back there very confortably.

3.)Always easy turning.

4.) ??????????
