Camper Top

What's a good source for a camper top to fit a 72 long bed? Does anyone still make one that fits or am I left looking for a used one? I also have no idea what I should expect to pay...
Thanks
Mark

I got mine with some other random, small (trim) parts at the boneyard for around $70. Think it was on a '78 before I got it. It fits just fine on my truck (long bed), length and width wise but the window above the tailgate doesn't quite fit right. Probably because of slight body differences between the truck it came off of and mine. If I were to cut a wood strip to fit between the shell and the bed it'd be perfect, and that's something that I'll do one of these days.

Whether you go new or used, don't forget that stick on foam strip that goes between the bed and the shell. The shell was worth every penny - now I can move or leave things in the bed without them getting wet or torn up by the sun!

I found a decent used one for $25 that fits perfectly. It's the aluminum kind, but at least it's black with tinted glass.

The guy I bought my 72 Camper Special had the complete camper on it. Not the shell the full camper, walk in camper, sink, bed, table, a/c etc.... I'm located in TX, but you can probably get the camper for around $500. I bought the truck for $700, clean 1 owner 49,000 miles.

Yeah, I saw a few of the full campers in the boneyard. They didn't look too great on the outside and I never did peek inside because that wasn't what I was looking for. It'd make for an interesting add-on though...

Thanks for the replies. I'll check the local boneyards.
