clutch trouble
I just bought a '01 f150. drove fine till a couple of days ago when the clutch pedal went soft. Now it won't go into gear unless i pump the clutch. is there fluid i should check? I am not much of a mechanic. thanks in advance.

Uh oh . . . Sounds ike you either have a leak in your line somewhere or you are almost out of fluid and there is an air pocket in the line. Either way, check your master cylinder. You may want to follow the line to the clutch fork and the slave. Down by the slave there is a valve, used to bleed the line, make sure it is tight and not leaking fluid. Fraid that's all I can help, hope what I said is right and I'm not confusing it with something else, been a long day.
