87 to 95 question

I have a 95 f-150 4x4 I6 and I was wondering if parts from an 87 F-150 I6 4x4 would work. Like rear end replacement and clutck kits. They guy has brand new in the box clutch kit and rear posi (spelling?) traction rear end. He said once he bought his new truck he just didnt want anything to do with the 87.

almost everything is interchangable, the only things that are different are interior and the front sheet metal.

Make sure the trac loc carrier has the tone wheel on it. If it doesn't then you will no longer have a speedo and your trans if it's an E4OD will shift funny.

The tone wheel or ring as you call it is the same for all of the ratios. There are instructions on how to recalibrate your speedo on this site some where. There are limits to how far off you can be and still bring it back in to spec. If your speedo is that far off then you need an aftermarket device that gives you a much larger window to work in being largers and gear differences.
