For the last year I have been working on a 428 to replace te 390 in my 76 F150 2wd. Right now I have the elite hedmen header's I was trying to remember if they fit edelbrock heads. thanks
I have the standard Hedman headers. There is a slight up/down misalignment with the cheap ones I got. I had to elongate the bolt holes 1/8" to raise the headers enough to match the exhaust ports in the Edel heads perfectly.
The elite may be better about this. If not it isn't a big deal to do the mod. e-mail me if you have more question's.

thanks for the replys guys, I think I saved myself a cool 500 dollars. Now on the exhaust side is a mismatch a big deal or take the time to line up ports?
Unless you are worried about hi rpm flow don't worry about it. Just make sure you pull the gasket and header snug against the top bolts before you tighten them all the way. this will leave you a 1/8" misalignment. if you let them rest on the lower bolts when you tighten them the misalignment will be closer to a 1/4". That much misalignment will hurt performance.
Welcome to the forum. I learned alot here.
and let me know what you think of the Elite series when you get them.
thanks again ,and I've had the elite headers for about 2 years and for me they have been leak free, I do believe the thicker flange helps. for some reason I thought I read somewhere on the web you could not use them on the edel heads. Nice knowing you can, thanks again!
