85 F250 Weights
I recently recieved an 85 F250 6.9L IH Extended Cab Long Bed Dually from my father. When I went to register it, they wanted to know the empty weight, the carrying weight (GVRW?) and the tonage. I know the GVRW is 8800lbs according to the sticker in the door, but is this the same as the carrying weight? And what about the tonage? The lady at the counter said they don't enter it as a 1/2 ton or what have you. I am new to big trucks, so I am a little confused and am not about to pay 214.00 per year to register my truck. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!

Answered my own question by calling a local Ford dealer. For those who may want to know, the listed weight is between 5200-5000lbs. empty. I was told carrying weight was about 3000lbs., but the county tax office has it at 1500lbs. These are all stock weights. I have no idea how much heavier the truck is due to the dually conversion.
