one other thing is if the catalitic converter gets pluged it will make you run hot
but you also have loss in engine power. i had this happen to me but i did not miss the loss in engine power because it happened very slowly over time but after changing converter what a difference. other than that i agree radiator or head gasket. if ya dont loose coolant its prolly the radiator pluged
Hi Sarenity and welcome to the forum
I think I would try installing (at least temporarily) a mechanic temperature gauge and see how hot it's really getting.
It could be something as simple as the temperature gauge sending unit not working right.
sounds like my experience with my '94 3.0 Aerostar
While it was good to replace all that stuff, it's likely the radiator.
I went through the same stuff when mine was doing the same thing, it was the radiator.
If it's the aluminum unit with the plastic tanks you should be able to get a new one for around $140 - that's what it was here in NW Wa state.
No temp problems since R&R the radiator for me.
Get a new Radiator or have a shop ROD OUT the old one. 50 bucks.....Should work like a charm. Mine used to run hot like yours, but now after the rod out she runs between the N and the O.
