Which Sub?
Ok - I have narrowed it down to 2 subs. It will either be a MTX 5510-44 or a JL 10W3v2-D4 Both are 10" with Dual 4 ohm Coils
Which one do you think will work best in a 2004 Lariat Screw?

Both subs are great, as far as what will work best, I'd go with the which ever sub will work the best in the box you have/or will be getting. Match sub to the box is always the best bet.

i agree... depends on what type of box you will have. large, ported, and boomy or small, sealed, an tight. check the specs on each sub and see what type of enclosure they work best with. also, depends on what amp you will use and how much power it has. i think a ported box is a little more efficient than a small sealed box, but is a bit lacking on the sound quality side.

I'm waiting for the JL Audio stealthbox... release is still TBD. Once I got my first JL, I've never purchased anything else since. The best bass reproduction, period. Just don't put it in a junk box. The best sub in the world can't overcome a poor enclosure!

running two 4ohm DVC's are going to place a 1ohm load on your amp. You should check your manual that came with your amp to see if it is 1ohm stable because if it is only 2ohm stable running those subs will destroy your amp. If it doesnt and you still want to use that amp look into running 3 4ohm single voice coil subs.
