Fuel Mileage
Just checked and figured mileage on the motor I just finished. First 150 miles came out to 18.75 mpg.
Details: '76 302 block bored .040 over, stock crank & rods. Dished summit cast pistons. Edelbrock performer intake, cam & 500 cfm carb. Accel billet electronic distributor & mallory(I think) blaster 2 coil.
All this in a '74 F100 shortbed. Talk about a good surprise, this thing is doing almost as good as my wife's Neon.

Can't wait to see how it does as the motor breaks in. I haven't hooked power steering up yet, but don't expect much loss with that. Or then again, may just stay with the Ford Truck arms & chest of Steel program.
