Many of the 67 to 72 trucks came with midship tanks that will fit your truck. You can ususally find these in the junk yard. The brackets for the midship tanks can be difficult to get out as they are riveted to the frame. But it can be done. Another option is a company callled aerotanks out of CA. They make new tanks that go behind the rear axle. They cost a little more but they look like they work real well.

justy find a local alum welder and have him fab a tank for you that fits in your bed, mine is being made now for 280 bucks and features a hidden fill cap inside the tool box built on top of the tank. going to hold 43 gallons of fuel, he is also fabbing my sensor into the tank so i have all ford electrics for fuel level and will have enough room in the tool box for my handyman jack and a tool box and extra parts. cant wait til i get it installed
