I tried using the search, but came up with nothing positive, so a question...
Is there a Ford, or aftermarket auxiliary high idle for the '96 Powerstroke? Or should I try to figure out how to make something myself? I have used the Semi Trucks pole on the pedal idea, but it is not much use..

Ford sells one that pretty handy but high priced, they call it a "Auxiliary Idle Control" or AIC for short. It can also be used for a PTO control. Do a search in this forum and you'll find references to it.
Thank you, Powerstroker, for that information, it looks like a good item. However, I read your post too late - I have already ordered the Ford item, and have to stand by that.. but, the next powerstroke I get will have the cheaper one in.. (I hope to buy another less utility related truck sometime this year)

Providence intervened, and I could not get the Ford part, so I am ordering the one you suggested, Powerstroker250.. Thank you again.
