For the last month I’ve been pondering what to do about my trucks excessive love affair with the local shop. When you can drive down the road and have the tow truck drivers wave at you, and everyone at the shop greets you when you walk in and has their own name for your truck, that’s saying something. Today I decided I would soon no longer be able to support its habits. So it must find a new home. I love broncos, but truthfully they have never quite fit my lifestyle. I hope to be moving to the super duty forum, but will probably end up in the F-150 forum.
Good luck. I understand your situation. I was there in winter of 2002. I spent a lot of cash on what seemed like stupid problems. However, since then, my truck has been trouble-free (knocking on wood loudly now!). But if the Bronc doesn't fit your lifestyle anyway, you may as well sell. Super Duty's are nice!
Jeesh, musta have loads of miles on it for it to be givingyou so many probs? Guess rebuilt motor tells the story of how many miles you have. My 95 needed some sensor stuff because it didnt pass emissions but thats about it in its 9 year life other than normal maintenance stuff.
I hope the local shop hasn't been ******* you!! Hard to believe a Bronco with that few of miles could be such a wreck. I've heard of lemons but I can't help think something else is at work here.
Ya, that’s been at the back of my mind. It’s been at many different shops and the problems keep coming. I have friends at the one it’s currently at, and they would let me know if something’s up. Plus I’m no stranger to a wrench, it’s my job, so id like to think I could detect foul play. It’s only at the shop because the repairs are covered by a warranty I’m incredibly glad I got.
