1951 Ford Flathead

Can anyone help? Is it normal for 1951 Ford flatheads to leak coolant around the headbolts and head gaskets after being rebuilt? They tell me all flatheads are known for this problem and to add some stop leak. Is this true. I rather not add stop leak at all, unless it is the only way to go!

Been a while since I had one, but I can't remember them leaking. Your block, or heads may be warped if good gaskets are used and torqued correctly and it still leaks.
