Blend Door Problem
99 F150, A/C blows hot air through vents. It is a blend door problem. I took the blend door motor out yesterday and it works fine. It feels like the door is broken. Can you replace just the door? Do you have to disassemble the whole dash to get to it. Any one have any advice on this?

blend door problem
how do I get more info on the blend door repair. I have a similiar problem, my system only blows out hot air, no matter what temp or position I have imput into the climate control. I have been unable to locate some detailed info on how to make a cheap repair to the blend door.

The blend door instructions are here if you do a search in the forum. I just fixed mine and it saved me a boatload of $$. The actuator was $50, and it took alot of time to do it becasue I lit into the dash without reading the instructions first. If it is the actuator [ a white module under the dash on the hump] then you only need to take a few pasts out. If the door isa broken you have to get the whole dash out of the re so you can take about the big black plastic box where the ehater core and evap are located. good luck.
