ford remote start

For those of you with ford remote start, are you pleased with it and how much did it cost? Is it worth the cost?

I got the CodeAlarm from the dealership. They put it on after my truck came in from the factory. It has a shock sensor (kick the tires and it'll honk at you), all the other normal alarm features, plus the remote start. It's been 100% for me so far. I'm very pleased. I paid $550 for it ... packaged with a full tint job. So, I would say I got them to do it for about $400. I told them the price I was getting for a Viper remote start alarm and tint from the local tint shop, and the dealership matched it. The bonus is that it's under my warranty and I can have it serviced (if it's ever needed) by any Ford dealership.

I had mine installed when my truck arrived. The dealer installed it. I works great. No problems yet. It was free for me due to an incentive of $1000.00 free stuff from Ford (I live in Canada) I also received the bug sheild, rain guards and 4 mud gaurds.

I think it works great because a few weeks ago I was at a friends house having dinner and around 9:30 at night the alarm went off. I ran out side to see what was going on and some old lady backed into my truck while pulling out of her driveway . Not to much damage, about $800.00 Canadian. If the alarm did not go off, I might not of even noticed until it was too late.
