My recommendation for more low end power is 4.10 gears with a diablo chip. That'll drop your 1/4 mile time a whole second, and it's waaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaay cheaper than a blower.
gears and a chip wont give you low end power/ torque. Your powerband will still be in the same parameters, and unless the chip can in fact give you a boost through ALL rpms at ANY throttle point, a chip wont give you what your looking for, which is low end torque. gears dont give you power, they make you accerate faster, not exactly something you need when towing for example, but beneficial.

I said it would be helpful! I have yet to make it to the track, as I have a slight oil leak, and would hate to have the night of races cancelled cause of me. Weds. nights are street legal drags at the old sears point, now called infineon, so Ill bethere asap and will post times!
Garrett
PS, thanks for the compliment on the install, took a lot of work!
Garrett, where in the world have you been dude? The Diablo chip gives you plenty of low end power. It did me for sure...obviously it won't have the anywhere near the power of a blower, but it will give the "broke man" what he needs...of course with gas how it is premium is unexeptable right now. And yes, gears will help with towing too. Some driver's buy gears specifically for that reason.
On the other hand, a SC, though pricey, would take care of all your hp/torque needs.
True, but not low end. Any centrifical head unit is going to give you the top end. IE, I dont hit my power curve until 3000+ RPMs.
Im not saying a chip WONT give you more power, but if you were after low end power, I dont see there being that much of a difference from 1500-2800 RPMs. Thats just me....you need to dyno your truck joe! Give me something to compare to!

Not fair, not fair at all. This is the standard "Tom" answer, you stole it from me.
Ah, it's ok....just mail me a rubber check for 10 bucks and we'll call it even.
