Pads More Worn On One Side Why?
I CHANGED my front brake pads about a week ago they were worn pretty bad on one side.But on the other side they were only worn halfway.of course i change both sides but i was wondering what would make them be more worn on the front passenger side then from the other side?would it be a bad caliper or some other thing?The truck is a 95 250 heavy duty with lockout hubs.

I would wager that the caliper slides are seized. A normal brake caliper has one piston. This piston pushes the pad on it's side against the rotor, and once that happens, the pad on the oppisite side of the rotor gets pulled in toward the other side of the rotor on slide pins. If the pins are rusted and are not working right, replace them and coat them with Sil-Glyde or some other silicone grease thats okay to use around brake friction materials.
