monaco a volare?

You're in uncharted territory here.
The Monaco is a B body car like the Cordoba, etc. The easiest way to tell is to climb under it and take a look - if the torsion bars go from one side to the other, it's the "volare" style but if the torsion bars go from front to back then it's the "Cordoba" style.
Having said all that, I still don't think the Monaco is any good for what you have in mind - the lengthy list of acceptable 'Volare" style donors does not include the Monaco and the shorter list of "Cordoba" style donors does not include the Monaco either. (Both lists are found in the stickied IFS thread above.)
What's the front track Measurment of the Monaco? You need 60 to 61 inches?

it was listed on ebay in a impound auction. if i get a whole car i could get a rear axle out of the deal also. but for a car 27 years old, might be getting something pretty worn or rusty and especially, not inspected. i want to hold out for a late 80's diplomat or new yorker or something. seems like a few years ago i had a few fall into my lap i coulda got for nuthin now when i need them.....lol. i could always buy it and make it the bluesmobile with a few rattle cans....lol.
