I have an AC unit about 3x3x3 ft that is butted against my garage. The problem is I have 9ft from the garage to the masonry wall on the property line. This leaves me less than 6ft to get stuff through. I would like to be able to get a trailer and vehicles through there.
I was wondering, can the AC unit be moved around the corner so it is behind the garage? It appears there is the power, a copper line, and something else(this is not my expertise).
If it can be moved, how far, and does that reduce its efficiency alot?
Also, how much would it cost to have someone move it?
Thats what I was afraid of. Busy + Special Skills = $$$
Right on, HVAC techs are getting like plumbers major $$$$ to get one and its about time. I crawled under old houses for years running ductwork and wires, crawling over dead animals , sewage, beer bottles, dirty magazines, and got paid 5 bucks a hour to do it and at that time I thought I was getting rich... The unit will have to evacuated of its freon, copper lines extended , and the electrical service extended. Distance is a factor, most compressors like no more than 50 ft of line set to pump thru, as said already its time to pay the tech good luck to you
