95 150 fuel problem

95 150 fuel problem

I ran out of gas on the front tank, first time ever.
After I Filled the front tank and the engine would not run on the front tank at all. On the rear fine but as soon as its clicked to front it dies . It still pulls gas from the rear tank .
I thought these were single pump so maybe there is a filter I dont know about?

there is a pump in each tank. you may have cooked your front one by running it dry. & yes there is a filter on the inside frame rail along the front tank. it is for both pumps.
