Ok, so I broke down and bought an Alpine CDA-9833 tonight...I'm pumped! On this new ford harness adapter, there is an orange/black wire titled "dimmer ground." The head unit doesn't have a dimmer ground wire, so do I tie this in with the deck ground or is it not used? Thanks in advance (trying to get this wired tonight). Ryan
try leaving it alone. the dimmer circuit i think uses PWM (pulse width modulation . ie on and off really fast at 50% duty cycle) to dim the headunit lighing when headlights are turned on. that's why a separate pmw ground circuit. i would think that the new radio head would have this though. good luck
