Vacuum lines need help PLEASE
Let me start off with what engine I have in the Bronco. I have a 1986 302 HO off a mustang that has a 3/4 cam and Eldebrock Manifold and 4brl Carb. My problem is the vacuum lines I do not know where they go. When I got the truck the person had the electric choke all the way up so when you started it it would almost red line till it got a little warm. When i would drive it it would smell like gas. So I lowered the jets and that got rid of the promblem. Then it started shuting off when at a stop so I figured need to get it adjusted by a pro carb shop, so when I took it in they said "I needed more vacuum". So here I am. The way the owner had it set up before me on the two vacuum ports coming out of the carb he has two seperate lines going to the vacuum tree. Then he has the distrubator vacuum advance also the vacuum tree. To get more vacuum where do I need to move the vacuum lines to????? Please help

not sure i understand what the mean by ou need more vaccum?/ What needs it, the distributer, what, did they say what and why? Need some more info. If they felt something needed more vac, they should have been able to swap lines to fix it, i would think a good carb shop, would know the differances in vac at differat locations. Unles they are saying the the engine doesnt have enough vac, we run into that on the big blocks, at low rpm, you dont have enough vac to power your brakes or anything else, but would doubt you have that problam unless the thing is really built.
